PSALM SING

June 21ST, 2025

O SING A NEW SONG
(PSALM 98A)

O sing a new song to the LORD

For wonders He has done;

By His right hand and holy arm

He victory has won.

The LORD's salvation is revealed

For He has made it known;

He to the nations of the world

His righteousness has shown.

He called to mind His faithfulness,

His love to Isr'el's house;

The great salvation of our God

Is seen the earth throughout.

O all the earth, shout to the LORD,

And make a joyful sound.

Lift up your voice aloud to Him;

Sing praise, let joy resound.

Make music to the LORD with harps;

With harps your praises sing.

With horn and trumpets shout with joy

Before the LORD, the King.

Let sea and land and all they hold

 Resound with one accord.

Let rivers clap, let mountains sing

For joy before the LORD.

For He shall come, He surely comes

The judge of earth to be;

He'll judge the world with righteousness,

And all with equity.

O GOD MY SOUL IS IN DESPAIR
(PSALM 42D)

O God, my soul is in despair, so I remember

You From Jordan's land, from Mizar's hill,

and from Mount Hermon too.

Your waterfalls, like thunder, roar

and deep to deep will call.

Your waves have all rolled over me

on me Your breakers fall.

The LORD commands His steadfast love

to be with me each day

By night His song will be with me;

To God, my Life, I'll pray.

I say to God, my only rock,

“O why forget me so?

Why must I grieve at all the harm

committed by the foe?

As if to shatter all my bones

my adversaries say,

“O tell us now, where is your God?”

They taunt me all the day.

O why, my soul, do you despair?

Why so discouraged be?

Hope now in God, I'll praise Him still.

My help, my God is He.

WHY DO THE HEATHEN NATIONS VAINLY RAGE?
(PSALM 2)

Why do the heathen nations vainly rage?

What prideful schemes are they in vain devising?

The kings of earth and rulers all engage

In evil plots, and in their sin contriving,

They take their stand against our God’s Messiah

They claim they will not keep His binding chains

The one enthroned in highest heaven higher

Mocks them to scorn, on them derision rains.

He speaks to them in righteous, holy wrath

God vexes them and shows His great displeasure

“Yet have I set My King upon the path

That upward winds to Zion, My own treasure.”

“’You are my My Son, today You are begotten,’-

I will declare what God has said to Me-

‘And not one tribe will ever be forgotten.

You will receive the world, just ask of Me.’”

“’The nations come; You are the only Heir,

The ends of earth will be Your own possession

And broken with a rod of iron there,

Rebellious pottery comes to destruction.’”

Now serve the Lord, with fear and gladness trembling,

And therefore, O ye kings, seek wisdom here.

How blessed are those who trust without dissembling,

Who kiss the Son and bow in reverent fear.

LET GOD ARISE
(PSALM 68A)

Let God arise, His enemies be scattered;

And from His presence let His foes take flight.

Drive them like smoke,

Like melted wax;

So let the wicked perish from His sight.

But let the just be joyful in God's presence;

With gladness let the righteous ones rejoice!

Sing unto God,

And praise His name;

To Him who rides through deserts lift your voice.

His name is LORD! Be joyful in His presence.

He is a Father to the fatherless,

 A judge who helps,

The widow's cause;

God is within His house of holiness.

God makes a home, a fam'ly for the lonely;

He leads out pris'ners to prosperity.

But in dry lands

Of wilderness,

There the rebellious ones are left to be.

O GOD SHOW MERCY TO US
(PSALM 67C)

O God show mercy to us and bless us with Your grace,

And cause to shine upon us the brightness of Your face.

So that the whole world over may truly know Your way,

And so that Your salvation all nations see displayed.

O God let peoples praise You, let all the peoples praise.

Let nations come rejoicing and songs of gladness raise.

For You will judge the peoples with perfect equity,

To nations of the whole earth a governor You’ll be.

O God let peoples praise You, let all the peoples praise.

The Earth has brought its bounty throughout its harvest days.

Since God our God will bless us, yes God will blessing send.

That all the earth may fear Him, to its remotest end.

RISE UP, O LORD
(PSALM 10)

Why do you stand afar off, O LORD?

Why do you hide Yourself in times of trouble?

Proudly the wicked pursues the poor

By his own plots, LORD, let him be surprised

Rise up, O LORD!

Hear how he boasts of his heart’s desire

See how he taunts; no, he’s not going to seek You

All of his thoughts are “There is no God”

Why do You let him live before Your eyes?

Rise up, O LORD! God, lift up Your hand

Why do You let these wicked men stand?

When will You break them, take them in hand

You’ve always been a helper of the orphan

Rise up, O LORD

His mouth is filled with oppressive words

Why do you let him prosper by deceiving?

He sits secure, living undisturbed

Your judgments never even cross his mind

Lying in wait for the helpless child

Lurking in shadow, trying hard to cheat them

He stalks his prey like a hungry lion

Why do You let him live before Your eyes?

Refrain

Rise up, O LORD! (4x)

Interlude:

The LORD is King! Let all the peoples tremble

Every evil thing will perish from the land

For God will vindicate the cause of the afflicted

And uphold them with His hand

The LORD is King! And He will live forever

Every wicked scheme of man’s will fall apart

For God will bring it down and give to all the humble

The desires of their heart

Repeat Interlude

Rise up, O LORD! (4x)

HAIL TO JESUS
(PSALM 110)

“Be seated here at my right hand,”

The LORD to my Lord did command,

“For of these heathen I will make

A kingly footstool for your sake.”

The LORD shall send your mighty rod

From Zion’s hill, the mount of God,

To smite your foes until they break;

The throne among them you must take.

Hail to Jesus; Christ is reigning

All will bow and all will name Him

Jesus, King of Kings

Upon your head a crown of dew,

Your morning makes the old things new.

And all who see your holy power

Will bow before you in that hour.

Melchizedek, a kingly priest

In You his line is now increased

Your life, the off'ring that you gave

The price was paid; you left the grave.

The kings who fight against my Lord

Shall taste His wrath and meet His sword

Upon their corpses He will look

Then drink to vengeance from a brook.

A MIGHTY FORTRESS IS OUR GOD

A mighty fortress is our God
A bulwark never failing
Our helper He amid the flood
Of mortal ills prevailing
For still our ancient foe
Doth seek to work us woe
His craft and pow'r are great
And armed with cruel hate
On earth is not his equal

Did we in our own strength confide
Our striving would be losing
Were not the right Man on our side
The Man of God's own choosing
Dost ask who that may be
Christ Jesus it is He
Lord Sabaoth His name
From age to age the same
And He must win the battle

And tho' this world with devils filled
Should threaten to undo us
We will not fear for God hath willed
His truth to triumph thru us
The prince of darkness grim
We tremble not for him
His rage we can endure
For lo his doom is sure
One little word shall fell him

That word above all earthly pow'rs
No thanks to them abideth
The Spirit and the gifts are ours
Thru Him who with us sideth
Let goods and kindred go
This mortal life also
The body they may kill
God's truth abideth still
His kingdom is forever

LIFT UP YOUR HEARTS

Lift up your hearts to the Lord Praise God’s gracious mercy! Sing out your joy to the Lord, whose love is enduring.

Shout with joy to the Lord , all the earth!

Praise the name above all names!

Say to God, “how wondrous your works,

how glorious your name!”

Let the earth worship, singing your praise.

Praise the glory of your name!

Come and see what God has revealed,

bless God’s holy name!

God’s right hand made a path through the night,

Split the waters of the sea.

All creation, life up your voice:

Our God set us free

Listen now, all you servants of God,

as I tell of these great works.

Blessed be the Lord of my life,

whose love shall endure!
